If you are conscious of your budget and are looking to buy a bike at Aldi – who are having a special offer on their 29er MTB, as well as some biking accessories, starting this Saturday (September 9th) you might want to consider Speed of Bike’s out-of-the-box building service. All you need to do is bring your purchase to us and we’ll assemble it to the correct standards, and dispose of the packaging, so you can ride it away without any worries.
If you’re travelling light and your only companion is your flexible friend, then Speed of Bike can help. We are now able to accept payment via Mastercard and Visa as well as the ever friendly cash and PayPal. No EFTPOS yet sadly 🙁
It’s that time of year when the kerbside is stacked up with interesting pieces of broken furniture, piles of wood and potential new rides. If you are tempted to grab yourself a free push bike you might want to get it checked out before you swing your leg over the saddle, and Speed of Bike can help you. Bring your finds to us and we’ll give it a safety inspection ($15) and make our recommendations. If you chose to go ahead with the work at Speed of Bike the cost of the safety inspection will come off the final cost. Simple!
The last couple of weeks has brought Speed of Bike plenty of interest – but we’re not sure if it was the Tour de France or the school holidays. Either way we want to keep the energy flowing and Brisbane cycling, so if you’ve been inspired to ride then give us a call. We have openings this week and with our commitment to a fast turn around we can have you back on two wheels in no time.
Due to ground works at Speed of Bike our front approach isn’t particularly wholesome and we’d rather you didn’t muddy shoes, so for customers in 4007, 4009, 4011, 4012, 4013 and 4014 we are offering a free pick-up and drop-off service for the next two weeks (offer ends July 23rd). Customers outside these postcodes can be accommodated for a nominal fee. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate your schedule.
I know we’re not out riding – which means we’re working! With this bout of rain we are having in Brisbane there aren’t many people out on rides, so why not bring your bike in to Speed of Bike to get your bike serviced while you have a dry weekend indoors? Contact us via the form on the right, pop in for a visit (call ahead on 0427 497 180 to make a booking) or message us on Facebook.
We’ve had a successful first year of operations and have worked on road bikes, mountain bikes, children’s bikes, commuter – and even one tricycle – from all over Nundah, Hendra, Nudgee, Hamilton, Wooloowin, Clayfield, Ascot and Northgate. We would like to thank everyone who brought us their bikes over the last year and are looking forward to many more years helping the local community keep their pushies rolling along. With the start of the new financial year we have made an adjustment to our prices but to mark our birthday we are offering 25% off all basic and standard services for the next week (offer closes July 7th).
If you are looking for a reliable and affordable bicycle mechanic you’ve found the right place. If you have a flat tyre, your gears won’t shift smoothly, you have sticky brakes or your pushy needs a good clean and an overhaul then head to Nundah and we’ll do our best to help you! Our prices are competitive and we are conveniently located a few doors down from Ultra Coffee, so you can have a hit of caffeine after you drop your bike off with us. Like what you hear? Why not get in touch and book your bike in today!
We’ve had a number of enquiries asking if we are open – and the answer is an unequivocal yes! We have moved however, and are now located in Nundah but we still offer the same level of service. Our open hours have been tweaked to fit between other obligations but you are more than welcome to give us a call or drop us an email at any time and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate you.
