Due to being overseas we are now closed until May 7th. Until then we will be uncontactable, but you can follow the journey of a life time on order66roadtrip.com. If you have to get in touch please use the contact form as voice mail and text messages will not be received.
Please be aware that Speed of Bike will be closed between March 23rd and April 28th (reopening on the 29th) and will be un-contactable during this time. New bookings will be taken after Wednesday, March 20th and any bikes not collected by end of business on Friday, March 22nd will be secured until Speed of Bike reopens.
Speed of Bike will remain closed for the holiday until January 14th at the earliest. We thank all those who have contacted us over the past few days, and we will get back in touch once we have reopened. Until then – happy cycling.
With the holiday season fast approaching we wanted to wish happy holidays to all our customers – 2018 was a great year and we hope you all have a top notch festive season. We will be running a reduced service and limited hours from December 12th and January 2nd so please get in touch to make arrangements for your pushy.
Spring is here and Speed of Bike is super excited about what the season has to offer – sun lit morning rides, putting cycling gloves back in storage and the dreaded swooping magpie. No matter what your homegrown cure to beat these pests is, the tried and tested solution is to pedal hard and fast! So before you go out for a long ride why not pop round and get your bike serviced? It might be the difference between a cruisy pedal and a hasty retreat.
Our second year was better than our first and to celebrate we are offering 25% off basic and standard services for the next week (offer closes July 7th)! A big thank you to all our customers who have brought in their road bikes, mountain bikes, children’s bikes, commuters, wheelchairs, tricycle and recumbants from Nundah, Hendra, Nudgee, Boondall, Hamilton, Wooloowin, Wavell Heights, Banyo, Chermside, Kedron, Everton Park, Kangaroo Point, Clayfield, Ascot and Northgate. It’s certainly a growing list of people who use Speed of Bikes to keep their pushies rolling along. A bit of bad news though: with the start of the new financial year we have added a new level of service and made a small adjustment to our prices, but it we promise it won’t affect your customer service experience.
With winter here many riders hang up their helmets and pack their cleats away against the cold mornings. If you’ve been riding hard all summer you should treat your bike to a pre-Spring service so it will be in tip top shape when you’re ready to get back on the saddle. Pop down to Speed of Bike for a preventative Basic service that can resolve any wear and tear before it’s too late.
Are you taking part in the Cycle of Giving charity ride for transplant research on March 11th? If you are then Speed of Bike would like to help out, so if your bike needs a Basc or Standard service between now and March 10th all you need to do is produce your entry certificate and you’ll get a 15% discount off the cost of the service. One bike per entry, and discount applies to the cost of service only.
Seasons greetings to all past, present and future Speed of Bike customers! Thank you all for a great year and I’m looking forward to 2019. I will be closed from December 24th and won’t be accepting any bikes or doing any work until January 3rd, so all bikes that haven’t been completed will be held until I pick up tools again in the New Year. Have a prosperous and safe holiday!
If you are considering buying an out-of-the-box bike from one of the big box retailers like Kmart, Target or Big-W and aren’t sure of your own bike building skills or you’re not confident in the skills of the stores’ builder then consider Speed of Bike. All you need to do is bring your purchase to us and we’ll do everything you need to get it under the tree in time for Christmas. Apart from wrap it – that’s all on you!
